The Wounded Warriors of the Israel Defense Forces

Beit Halochem, or “House of the Warrior" in English, is a sports, rehabilitation and recreation center serving disabled veterans of the Israel Defense Forces and their families. They also provide a place where the disabled veterans can undergo the various physiotherapy and hydrotherapy treatments, which they need for as long as they live. The centers range in size from 5,500 sq. meters to 10,000 sq. meters. Here they can participate in sports activities suited to their individual disabilities. Sports programs contribute to successful rehabilitation by maintaining the members’ physical fitness and preventing deterioration of their health. There are several centers located throughout Israel.

What an honor it has been for Speak Up For Israel to partner with the IDF and Beit Halochem in supporting their efforts to care for the needs of those who were willing to give everything for Israel’s protection and security.

The Israel Defense Forces is an army like none other as it was prophecied some 2500 years ago by the Prophet Ezekiel:

‘Thus says the Lord God: “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.” So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.’

Ezekiel 37:9,10

Never before in history have we seen Israel all but destroyed as we do in Ezekiel’s prophecy of the ‘dry bones’, but then raised again and brought back into the Land of Israel as an “exceedingly mighty army”. We believe that this very thing took place after the Holocaust (the Valley of Dry Bones) and after, in 1948, when the Israel Defense Forces fully came into being as “an exceedingly mighty army.” Though small in numbers, the IDF has continued to beat the odds in it’s regional conflicts, just like a modern day David vs Goliath.

It really is a miracle that the Israel Defense Forces even exists. Would you consider partnering with us as we support the wounded warriors of Israel? We will give 100% of all contributions that are earmarked “Beit Halochem” directly to Beit Halochem. What a worthy investment to help these brave men and women who have given so much to see Israel flourish and succeed.
